The role and advantages of pneumatic quick connectors

Home / News / Industry News / The role and advantages of pneumatic quick connectors
Both pneumatic and manual quick couplings are joint tools used for sealing connections, with the difference being whether they are driven by air pressure or manually. In different application projects, the role and advantages of pneumatic quick connectors are different. Let's use two cases to take a look together:
1、 Pneumatic quick connectors for airtightness testing of stainless steel pipes
Stainless steel pipes have a smooth surface, high hardness, high temperature, and high-pressure resistance, and are commonly used as materials for precision components of equipment. Qualified inspection of stainless steel pipes is required, including air tightness testing. According to the feedback from the testing engineer, the other end of the stainless steel pipe shown in the figure above has been welded and sealed, and pressure needs to be applied from the other end to test the sealing of the welded area. At this point, the G10 series quick connector can be used with an external sealed connection, which can better ensure the inflation speed.

2、 Pneumatic joints for sealing testing of plastic pipe fittings
In practical applications, one end of the plastic pipe fitting is connected to the equipment, and there are other ways to pressurize the equipment internally. The pneumatic quick connector here is used to seal the pipe opening. Plastic pipe fittings generally have low hardness, are prone to damage, and can easily cause scratches. Due to mass production and testing, pneumatic joints are needed to integrate automated operations. Its advantage lies in its friendliness to the test piece pipe wall without causing scratches, and it can be applied to various pipe materials and properties, and some hoses can also be used; Easy to integrate automated operations and improve efficiency.
Pneumatic quick connectors are often used for industrial production testing, to seal and connect equipment nozzles, in conjunction with leak detection equipment. Efficient and stable completion of testing to improve production levels.
